Classroom Rules
- Absolutely no cell phones or personal devices will be allowed in class!
- Keep your hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
- Demonstrate kindness in your words and actions.
- Listen carefully when others are speaking.
- Arrive on time with all of your materials.
- Stay on task during ALL work times.
Entering the Classroom
- Please enter quietly. All conversations should be completed before entering the room.
- Look on the whiteboard for the daily objectives and directions.
- Mobile devices should be turned off and placed upside down on your desk.
- Take out your assignment notebook and record the homework for tonight. Be Sure To Copy It Down Just As It Is Written On The Board.
- Begin working on your warm-up. Do not wait until the bell rings to get yourself organized and ready for class. As soon as you enter the room you should prepare for class.
- By the time the bell rings, you should be working on your warm-up. Warm-ups can range from problems posted on the board, computing problems on your slate or completing problems for credit. These may be collected for credit.
During Class
- You are expected to participate during class activities and discussions.
- Please remember to raise your hand if you would like to contribute to the class discussion. Do Not Call Out Or Interrupt Other Students.
- Sharpening Pencils should occur immediately when you enter the room. If you need to sharpen your pencil during class, please wait until independent work has been assigned. Sharpening your pencil during instruction, discussion or lecture is Not Allowed.
Packing Up & Dismissal
- Please do not pack up until you are told to do so. You will be given plenty of time to do this at the end of the period.
- The Bell Does Not Dismiss You. Your Teacher Does! The classroom should look exactly as it did when you entered. This means that all trash must be picked up and all classroom supplies must be returned to their appropriate places.
